Shared Grounds
The Valley Within the tall trees of the west, many horses come and go, but they never stay. They come looking for a home, and many find it, but many don't. Here is where horses can come in hopes of finding a herd, they call it the Claiming Grounds or The Valley.
Silent Hills The Silent Hills are simply that. A wide expanse of land covered in many hills of different sizes covered in grass that are always silent, even when the wind blows the tall grass makes no sound. This is also known as loner's turf. Here, those who don't wish for a herd may come, or those seeking to leave their herd may come as well. No horses may be claimed here, but they may choose to no longer be loners and either go to The Valley from here, or go with a leader that showed up for a rest away from home here.

Twisted Clearing After wandering through the dizzy chain of caves and tunnels and successfully finding the right pathway, equines will find themselves in a safe haven. Protected on all sides by steep, completely inaccessible cliffsides, the Twisted Clearing is a realm where horses come for privacy. Many come here to share their love, and many wonder into these breathtaking lands not knowing what will happen. Trees, contorted into odd shapes for whatever reason, can be found all over the place, and some even form little pockets of privacy. This is the breeding ground, where equines come to create new life together. It is open to any and all, but remember - you have to find your way in first. Breeding ground.

Foaling Grounds - 1 Viewing This domain is fairly small, providing a sense of comfort for expecting mares to give birth to their precious children. The entire land is covered in trees, leafy trees which spread their branches out far, protecting damsels and their babe's from rain and harsh winds. This is a place where mare and foal can tie a bond between each other before the baby meets any other equines. This is a very important ritual, as it helps the baby know it's mum from everyone else, and the dam her foal. No males allowed here.

Hot Springs A chain of warm-water springs can be found here, hiding away from the rest of the world amidst ancient trees. The terrain here gently slopes upward, and as elevation increases so do the temperature's of the pools. Those which are lower are the more popular among equines, as too-hot liquid is anything but pleasant. Easily accessible and not too deep, the springs are a great place to relax or rid one's pelt of debris. Grass flourishes around the springs, too, so even those just wanting an easy snack are in luck.

Coveted Falls This is the land where mares take a break and get away from all the stress of living in a herd. Mares of every alliance, color, and age gather here, some to walk alone, and others to walk together and discuss the antics of stallions. Mares shed their most deep secrets here, usually, to the wind or others. Location has never been discovered by man or stallion, maybe because mares have an instinctal attraction to the terrain that stallions cannot obtain. The Falls are gorgeous, cascading down with a mellow roar. At sunset, the waters reflect the hues of the sky, a range from purple to red and all in between. No males allowed here.

Graveyard These lands are peaceful and clear, nothing at all grows here but long grass, fertilized by the bodies of those horses who laid themselves down here to die. Nothing can disturb them, but if you do, be careful, some things may be lurking.

Misty Creek Misty Creek is a place where any stallion would love to call home, its beautiful here, the mist comes in the morning and raises like fire. There is also a creek that runs down the middle of the territory. There are trees that surround the trritory like cave wallas, only those wp have belonged tothe territory would know ho to get out and into the territory. But there is also danger in this near perfect land.

Sunset Glade - 1 Viewing Within the steady green trees, is a valley where the sun shines almost all the time. The grass is long, and there is a pond where you can refresh in. And many trees that bring shade in the heat of the day.

Alizarin Meadow Surrounded by mountains at least halfway, some would consider this place a valley, for it could easily be compared to one. However, since it is not located inside a mountain range - it simply lingers at the base of one - this realm is rightfully a meadow. Rolling contours of land, dotted with trees, make up this entire place. Toward the cliffs there are a few overhangs which provide excellent shelter from the elements, and the side away from the cliffs opens up into a huge expanse of treeless plains. This is an excellent place to watch the sunset, or simply enjoy a good run. Beautiful alizarin-red roses cover the meadow, and in spring their sweet scent fills the air intoxicatingly. A full river falls from the mountains into the territory, providing fresh water and an escape from summer's blistering heat. As for food, it is plentiful and delicious -- truly Alizarin Meadow is a perfect land to call home.

Illusion Springs For the forest-loving and water-loving horses, Illusion Springs is the perfect home. Tall trees dot the entire terrain, and in the midst of this mini forest lies an alluring chain of warm-water springs. The liquid isn’t hot, but it isn’t icy cold either – no, it’s just right. The majority of these pools are only a few feet deep and easy to access, but some are much deeper and others are nearly impossible to get to. In general, however, the springs are completely safe if one is careful of the slippery rock surrounding some of the pools. Illusion Springs is also feathered with thick, delicious grass, if the king can do his part in protecting it from the deer that venture here.

Aspen Ridge This land consists of a mountainside full of soft, white-barked Aspen trees with sensitive leaves that tremble in even the slightest breeze. It is quite a large land, spanning across a huge part of the mountain range. There are many rivers running through this place and even a couple of waterfalls spill off of the steeper areas. Grass is plentiful and long, and shelter isn´t hard to find among the foliage. Aspen Ridge is a great place to rule over, though there IS some unwanted company. Herds of deer roam this land, though they are quite peaceful unless the equines give them a reason to wage war. If the two species simply live in unison and share the terrain all will be well, though some stallions can get quite territorial and cause problems.

Parlous Fields This land is almost completely covered by tall prairie grass, save for a few areas where rivers flow or excessive rock keeps anything from growing. Trees are not very numerous here, but they do dot across the place and clump together in a couple locations. Sure, this terrain may seem innocent enough, but one who knows the territory well would say different. Random drop-offs and ditches seem to be everywhere, and sharp rocks can hide within the long grass almost perfectly. If a horse accidentally falls into one of those ditches, there is no escaping, so one must be careful when running through this realm. It isn’t as bad as it may seem now, however – some of the ditches are completely accessible, and some even have overhangs which can provide shelter during rain. What’s with all these ditches, you might wonder? Man dug them in the past – during a time when they were at war.

Arcane Glen Located almost right next to Kudos Valley, all that separates this land from the other is a simple ridge. Despite being so close, Arcane Glen is a much smaller and less closed-off valley than its neighbor. It may come second to Kudos Valley in that sense, but Arcane Glen has its own useful traits. The caves, for example, are extremely handy during the winter. There are about ten or twelve of these caves, and though the majority of them are small, a couple stretch quite far into the mountainside. When snowfall claims the valley, the equines of this realm can simply relocate into the depths of the caves and avoid freezing. There is a small stream, which is a branch of the main river, that trickles into one of such caves, but even that fails to provide food during the colder months. The horses will have to leave their shelter to find sustenance, but when they have eaten their fill they can return to the warmth and dryness of the caverns.

Kudos Valley Kudos Valley is definitely a good land to rule over, due to its being mostly surrounded by high cliff walls. There are few entrances to this terrain, and of those few the majority are hard to find. This valley is located in a small mountain range, and those mountains are what give the place its protection. Long, lush grass, breathtaking waterfalls, and of course many leafy trees all reside inside the valley, if one can gain access. About three-fourths of Kudos Valley lays right against the mountainside, creating an inaccessible cliff barrier, and the remaining fourth is simply surrounded by a steep incline. It is definitely possible to climb up and down this remaining quarter of the valley, though to do so one has to know the right ways. Many foolish young foals have fallen to their death in trying to leave the valley without guidance, and even elders have accidentally slipped at times.

Frost Hollow This terrain is located in the same forest that lies near Jagged Cove; it does not, however, border the other realm. Being a hollow, this land is a huge area which is lower than its surroundings. It could be compared to a valley, save for the lack of being in a mountain range. Slightly-steep slopes lead into the hollow in most places, making this territory quite accessible, though in some places the slopes can be almost vertical. As for the ground, it is completely covered by foliage such as grass, moss, and various other plants. A good portion of this area is covered in a swamp, and so the plant life is very plentiful… if not a bit too available. The earth is always slightly wet, and the huge trees that stretch above the land don’t help at all in letting the floor dry. No one is sure why, but this place is always rather chilly – thus giving the kingdom its name.

Jagged Cove Ah, a land by the sea - who wouldn’t want to live here? Truthfully, quite a few wouldn’t. Jagged Cove is named well, for the seashore is edged with sharp rock that could send any equine to his death. One has to be very careful when navigating around this sandy shore, and even when a horse manages to get to the sea he still has to fight – this time against the tide. Undertows are strong in this area, so it would be unwise to venture too far into the ocean lest you want to be carried away into the waters. Besides the beach, this land also includes some solid turf instead of sand. A fair slice of ragged forest dotted with palm trees edges the beach, though even the forest hosts a bit too many rocks. A freshwater spring rests in the middle of the territory, and plentiful grass grows around it. The only problem is…that’s basically the main place to get food, and it’s not exactly that big of an area.

Sultry Ruins Strangely enough, this land once used to be a gorgeous realm – way back in its day. It has since lost most of its appeal, however, due to the lack of water. The rivers simply averted their course and began flowing into other kingdoms, leaving this place almost void of any liquid at all and killing off the majority of plant life. At one point a lush forest covered this terrain, but only its skeleton of dead trees remains – thus giving the area its name. The lack of shade also played a part in naming this realm, as it can get to be extremely hot here during the day. The equines living here are definitely very skilled at finding food, and they stay reasonably hydrated from rainfall and the narrow creek that lies on the border of the territory.

Echo Woods Perhaps one of the nicest dark territories, Echo Woods is located at the base of a large cliff. The cliff does little for protection, as all of the rest of the land is exposed, but it does provide a cheerful, or rather odd, echo if one is in the right spot. Echo Woods is a thick forest, with trees stretching far above any equine’s head. These trees vary from majestic pines to graceful deciduous ones, but they all have one thing in common; they are very closely packed together, so that in places very little sunlight can penetrate the canopy. Grass is sparse in the darkest areas, but that by no means suggests there is a food shortage. Equines here can treat their taste buds to plentiful berries and the tender leaves of various plants, as well as the all-famous grass where it can be found.
